Read the plan

A plan, and a question about it. Nothing runs. Each of these is an ordinary pull request against the same small production service — a tag, a retention window, a version bump — and your job is to say which resources, if any, it destroys and recreates.

There is no filter and no count until you have answered. That is the exercise.

  Someone has opened a pull request to change the database's master user. Read the plan it produces.

  A tidy-up pull request corrects some wording. Read the plan.

  The database is running hot and someone has proposed a bigger one. Read the plan.

  A compliance ticket asks for encryption at rest on the database. Read the plan.

  A security review asks for the load balancer to stop being reachable from the internet. Read the plan.

• Re-address a subnet7 mins

  An adjacent team needs a range back, so one zone has been given a different one. Read the plan.
